Yay for Saturday!

Hip Hip Hooray... it's Saturday!

I have been looking forward to this day ALL week.I mean seriously, you have no idea. For some reason during the middle of the week, I had a rough time sleeping. Between Tuesday night and Wednesday night, I had a total of SIX hours of sleep. By Thursday morning I had a splitting head ache and could barely keep my head up. It was so tempting to call a sub in and catch up on my sleep but I knew my students needed me. They were to perform their play on Friday and they definitely needed to practice on Thursday. I was afraid with a sub they wouldn't do their best and their best was definitely required. So instead of sleeping in, I pushed through and went to work. It was so rough but I have to brag on my kiddos, they were so sweet and absolutely perfect that day. All day long they kept telling each other "Shhh. Mrs. Holt has a headache and our talking is making it worse!". I couldn't help but smile. They were so quiet all day and stayed on task without me having to call them down. I'm thinking maybe I should tell them I have a headache more often... haha

Anyways, with all that said, I was so excited to be able to sleep in today. I went to bed this morning around midnight and did not wake up until 9:15 when Brittni called and woke me up. A short time later she showed up at my house with some yummy biscuits and potato wedges from PG's! We spent the morning sitting around talking in the kitchen while Kevin slept upstairs. Around lunchtime, we headed to Extreme tan to get our tan on! Then I spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on grading and lesson planning... tasks I put off this week due to how exhausted I felt.

Around 5:00, Kevin and I headed to Danville. I wanted to pick up a few items for our trip to Gatlinburg that is coming up this weekend (5 days! Woot woot!). Unfortunately, I did not find the items I was searching for but I did end up getting a few things that I didn't expect to find. I found the following items at Ross!

Nike mesh shorts $10.99
** Currently wearing them (:

Pony nylon shorts $7.99
** I have another pair of these and I loooove them!

Gray cardigan $7.99
**So excited to have finally found a long gray cardigan for two tanks I purchased months ago!

At 6:30 we headed to Olive Garden for Emily's surprise birthday party! Sadly, the restaurant did not record our reservation so when she arrived we were all standing at the door so it was not much of a surprise. Thankfully after speaking with the manager, he bumped us in front of the other fifty people waiting and we got to skip the one and a half hour wait! Here's Emily fixing to blow out her candle on her cheesecake... which looked soooo yummy!

Now I'm curled up in bed next to my sleeping hubby. We've got a big day planned tomorrow. We're trying out a new church with one of Kevin's coworkers, then we're off to lunch with my family. My Nannie is having her 98th birthday party and then we're heading to the circus! So he needs his sleep! Lol

While I'm thinking about it, I need to post my OOTD so here it is... nothing fancy!

Anyways, I'm off to read my new devotional that I picked up from Lifeway today. I am SO excited about it. I have been in search for a new devotional for a couple of months and when I saw a pink/black/white one with a purse, lipstick, and coffee cup, I knew this one had to be good. It's called An Inspiration for Girlfriends and it's written by Ellen Miller. When I was in the store, I read a few of January's devotions and I could not put it down! It was absolutely wonderful and I felt like the author was having a conversation with me! I can't wait to get back to it and continue reading. Here's what it looks like and you can read more information about it here.

Anyways, I'm off ladies. Have a great night!
