{Baby Holt #2} Baseballs or Bows Gender Reveal Party

Happy Tuesday, ladies! We are recovering from an absolutely wonderful long weekend. I'd share all about it but I sort of filled you in last Friday on our plans. So I'll just skip right to the good stuff this morning.... our gender reveal party! Yesterday we hosted a Labor Day cookout and followed it up with the much anticipated gender reveal! So let's get to the details shall we...

The Food
Our friend, Stacey, made this adorable baseball and bow cake to pull together our gender reveal party theme. I can't get over how amazing it turned out!

Guests grabbed koozies to represent which team they supported.

We served hot dogs with all the usual toppings; as well as chips and homemade ranch dip.

The Fun
While we got the party started, the kids had fun watching Paw Patrol and then headed out to the swing set.

The Friends & Family

The Teams
Team Girl: Bows

Team Boy: Baseballs

The Reveal
With Kevin being an avid baseball and softball player, there was no doubt that this time around we had to incorporate Kevin's passion into our gender reveal party. So for the big reveal, we filled a plastic baseball with colored chalk powder to reveal the gender.

Here's the video you probably already saw on instagram

Seriously ya'll! I can't get over everyone's faces!

Just listen to everyone's cheers!

The Thank You's!
Last night was by far one of the best night's of mine and Kevin's lives. We were so excited to be surrounded by so many of our friends and family for this occasion. Our little man is already so loved.

Boston Grey Holt... we can't wait to meet you!

  5. Baseball is the basis of my relationship... We met because of baseball, spent most of college on a field watching him play, and still love going to games and all things baseball. This is such an awesome idea! Did you make the chalk filled baseball yourself? That is the most creative thing I have seen! Congrats on the new addition!
