30 Days of Wedding Memories: The Ceremony

Our wedding ceremony was one of the best events of my life. It meant so much to both Kevin and me to be surrounded by so many of our friends and family. It was everything I could have ever dreamed for it to be. Every time I look at our wedding pictures, I'm reminded of all of the special little moments we shared that day. I remember talking to Kevin pretty much the whole ceremony. We were both so nervous.

I remember after Dad gave me away and Kevin and I stepped up on the risers, Kevin leaned over and with tears and love in his eyes, he told me I looked beautiful and I replied that he looked handsome. I remember as Pastor Aaron (my pastor) started speaking, I could hear Kevin sobbing beside me. I remember the gentle squeeze of his hand as we stood there listening. I remember joking with Kevin and asking if he thought he was going to pass out as he waited on me to come in (something we joked about days before we got married!). I remember when I couldn't get him to stop crying, that I leaned over and told him that his brother and cousin had wrote on his Corvette windows. That did the trick! He told them if he drove it they were NOT under any circumstances to write on it. lol I remember that he immediately stopped crying and said "You're lying?!" haha

There are so many memories that I have of that day and I hope to God that I never forget any of them.

This is when I was trying to get him to stop crying.

Love how the photographer caught the fullness of everything

Walking/Dancing out of the Church

After the ceremony was over, Kevin and I came back into the church to personally escort everyone out ourselves. We wanted to make sure that we got to speak to each individual person and thank them for coming to our wedding. When it was all said and done, this was one of my favorite things about our wedding. So many people told us how great an idea this was and how they loved it!
