{Weekend Recap} Pool Days & Catching Up

Happy Monday, ladies! I hope you all are recovering from a fabulous weekend. I know we are here in the Holt household. 
Friday afternoon, I headed to Lowes after work to pick up a birthday present for my dad. I ended up grabbing my dad a gift certificate and a hammer. When I got home, I hand lettered a note on the hammer that told him how much I appreciated him building memories with me. It turned out so cute but sadly, I forgot to take a picture. Oh well.  The rest of our Friday night was spent getting our house back in order from having our new floors installed last week. They are so gorgeous and I wish we'd have done it sooner. I'm working on a few room reveal posts so you'll be able to see them soon. Until then, here's just a little sneak peek I posted on instagram over the weekend. 

Saturday after Kevin woke up we all headed to the pool to hang out with Bryan and Brooke (Kevin's brother and girlfriend). We spent most of the afternoon at the pool soaking up some sun and enjoying the cool water and good company. 

Sometime after 4 we finally loaded up the car to head back home and get ready for dinner out with friends... but not before we swung by a local ice cream shop to grab some cones of yummy goodness. Banana ice cream for Kevin, Rainbow vanilla for me. As for Harp, she got a little of both (; 

For dinner we met up with some of our favorite people for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We haven't seen Joey, Jennifer, and John since Harper's party so it was so great to catch up with them alongside Kevin's brother and Brooke. While us girl's talked babies (as Joey and Jennifer's little girl is due soon), the guys talked sports, jokes, and other guy things.

Before calling it a night we headed to a Target to grab a few things. While there I found these two adorable rompers. 

Sunday was spent at church and then my parents' house for our usual lunch. Of course, Harper had to feed the birds again while we were there. It's her favorite activity to do at Nana and Papa's. My dad pretty much eats it up.

Kevin had to work again last night so while he worked, Harper and I hung out with my friend Brittni, lovingly referred to as B. Harper's absolute favorite person in the world next to our family. We grabbed some breakfast for dinner at a local diner then headed to Walmart to do some grocery shopping together. 

By 9pm, we were back home and calling it a night.
